If your Chinese Zodiac sign is the Dragon, then 2024 is your year to shine! The Nevada State Museum is once again celebrating Chinese New Year in downtown Carson City on Saturday, February 10, 2024, the first day of the Lunar New Year.
Activities begin at the Nevada State Museum with Chinese noisemaker crafts on the first-floor landing, followed by storytelling through folk dance and music in the Dema Guinn Concourse.
Festivities culminate at 11 a.m. with the traditional Lion Dance parade leading a procession to the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada, where the cultural fun continues.
All of the activities in the Dema Guinn Concourse are free. Museum admission is $10 for adults and free for members and children 17 and younger.
