In Hawaii, “May Day is Lei Day” and we are celebrating this tradition for our May 8th Online Family Fun Saturday by finger weaving a yarn lei. We will learn the history of Lei Day as well as the significance of the lei in Hawaiian culture. Traditionally, a lei is often made as a gift to a loved one, so share a yarn lei as a gift on Mother’s Day!
