Join us in celebrating the Sesquicentennial of the Carson City U.S. Branch Mint and the Sesquicentennial of the Completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. At 11:00am Cindy Southerland, historian and biographer, will present a chautauqua of Ms. Annie Martin, First Female Superintendent of a U.S. Assay Office(formerly the Carson City U.S. Branch Mint). From 10:00am-4:00pm we will be running Historic Coin Press No. 1 and minting Transcontinental Railroad Medallions featuring Coach No. 17.

At 10:00am and at 1:30pm we will be offering special hour long 1870 Mint Building Tours.

Silver planchets can be purchased in the museum store to have your own medallion pressed on Historic Coin Press No. 1.

Admission is $8 for adults, members and children 17 and under are free.
