11:00 am Lecture “A History of Morgan, Orr Works and Historic Coin Press No. 1” by Robert Nylen. Morgan, Orr Works was the Philadelphia manufacturer of coin presses for U.S. Mints in the 19th century, including the historic, and still operating, Coin Press No. 1 at the Carson City Mint.
12:00 pm-4:00 pm Coin Press No. 1 Demonstrations in the Historic Carson City mint building. You can purchase a silver planchet and have it minted in front of you.
