Description
Come join us for a brief discussion on one of Nevada’s most athletic critters and our state mammal the bighorn sheep! We will discuss the different types of sheep you can find in Nevada, their preferred habitat and biology as well as what the Nevada Department of Wildlife does to help manage our sheep populations for generations to come.
Presenter: After living in Reno, NV for most of her life, Jessica Wolff received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada- Reno in 2014. Post-graduation, she worked in the solar energy sector before turning her career to her real passion… animals. Jessica has spent the past two years at the Urban Wildlife Coordinator for the Nevada Department of Wildlife and is now the Wildlife Education Coordinator. When not working, Jessica can be found hanging out with her pets and partner. Or spending time trying new recipes and trying to find success with gardening in Northern Nevada (not for the faint of heart).
This lecture will be presented in person and on Zoom. Admission is $10 for adults, members and children age 17 and under are free.
