Description
Native Nevadan and author, Stanley Paher has written 19 books on Nevada, Arizona and Death Valley. His most recent release is the 10th Edition of his Nevada Ghost Towns & Mining Camps Illustrated Atlas which covers hundreds of ghost town locations, caves, hot springs locations, the 49er emigrant trail, the Pony Express Route, etc. During the lecture Stan will go into detail about ghost towns and historic locations in the Tonopah area and other parts of western Nevada. Places you could easily access from home.
Over the last 50 years Stan has influenced Nevada as author, publisher, editor, book distributor, marketing, and informal advisor to to aspiring writers. Stan stopped publishing new titles six years ago, in an attempt toward semi-retirement, but he admits that he has not done a very good job of it. Summers find him in the desert hiking, jeeping and camping. He will stay after the lecture to sign copies of his books.
