Description

Curator’s Corner is a monthly series that will feature a museum artifact or group of artifacts. Since 1941, the museum has collected and interpreted objects related to Nevada’s unique heritage, including historical, cultural, anthropological and natural history artifacts. Curator’s Corner will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The program on the third Wednesday will be an encore performance of the program on the first Wednesday. Visitors passing through the museum’s Concourse will be able to enjoy a brief presentation by the curator as he or she exhibits an artifact or group of artifacts.

On May 5th, Rachel Delovio, the Anthropology Collections Manager and Lei Day Coordinator, will feature a tapa, wooden beater, and a bamboo printing stick.

Admission is $8 for adults; members and children age 17 and under are free.
