Dior and I brings the viewer inside the storied world of the Christian Dior fashion house with a privileged, behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection as its new artistic director-a true labor of love created by a dedicated group of collaborators. Melding the everyday, pressure-filled components of fashion with mysterious echoes from the iconic brand’s past, the film is also a colorful homage to the seamstresses who serve Simons’ vision. Bill Cunningham: New York

Friday February 10 @ 630PM (Doors open 6PM)

Feb10b (Not Rated: 84 minutes)

New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham, at 81 years old, is still a Schwinn-riding cultural anthropologist chronicling fashion trends and high society charity soirées for his columns “On the Street” and “Evening Hours.” Documenting uptown fixtures, downtown eccentrics, and everyone in between, Cunningham’s enormous body of work is more reliable than any catwalk. Bill Cunningham New York is a delicate, funny and often poignant portrait of a dedicated artist whose only wealth is his own humanity and unassuming grace. The September Issue

Friday February 17 @ 630PM (Doors open 6PM)

Feb17 (Rated PG-13: 90 minutes)

Vogue has been the most powerful and best-respected fashion magazine in the world for decades, and each year the journal devotes a fall issue to the designs and designers that the editors feel will be influential in the coming year. The September 2007 issue of Vogue, that year’s annual Fall Fashion issue, became the biggest single issue in the magazine’s long history. This documentary focuses on Vogue editor Anna Wintour as she visits the annual Fashion Week shows, accepts or dismisses the latest creations of the biggest names in fashion, works with the models, photographers, and writers who help bring her vision to the page, and labors with her staff to determine what the world’s fashionistas will be wearing for the next 12 months.
